Ja Adams began writing as soon as she could hold a pencil. Her first work to appear in print was a poem she wrote in second grade. In third grade she began writing plays that she continued to produce and direct until graduating from high school. By age 12 Ja was writing short stories and novelettes long hand in spiral notebooks. Friends anxiously awaited for the next chapter. And by age 14, she was writing motivational and political speeches. After graduating from college, she spent 20 years working with at risk populations and writing grants and early childhood curricula. However, it was not until the new millinium that she achieved her life long dream of publishing a novel.
